  I was very prudish. I used to turn off the radio in my car when it would play "Afternoon Delight" I would not go to R rated movies.

  I have since become very open, free and non-judgemental.

  I am not a whore because I give it away for free.

  Investigated the Dawn Bible Society (Russellites)

  since investigating the history of the society i thought i would do research on the dawn bible society to others known as the russellites.

  today in the mail i recieved a booklet and it is all about pastor russell his life and what happened after he died and the split from the watchtowe society.

  some great reading and a real eye opener to the truth of the breakoff .

  Rocketman:

  Chronology and Pyramids were two things I could not accept but the Bible Students did not shun me for not believing.

  If you think it is hard to swallow that the Last Days began in 1914, the Bible Student chronology starts the Last Days in 1799 ushered in by Napolean.

  From 1990 - 1993 I associated with the Bible Students. At that time there were hundreds if not thousands of Romanian Russellites making themselves known to the American and Canadian Bible Students for the first time.

  In the United States, the biggest Bible Student groups are the Dawn Bible Students, the Chicago Bible Students and the Fort Worth Bible Students. There is a large group in the Pacific Noethwest and Ohio.

  I used to subscribe to their magazine The Dawn. The Dawn Bible Students are very nice people.

  The Dawn Bible Students sponsored a radio broadcast called Frank and Earnest (long before the comic strip of the same name).

  I always thought that most Witnesses would be much happier as Bible Students if the Witnesses only knew they still exist.

  A Question for anyone familiar with Mormons and RCLDS

  hi there, i was wondering if any of you who have experience with the mormons know anything about the reorganised church of jesus christ of latter day saints.

  how are they similar and how do they differ?

  i was told by a relative who grew up attending the reorganised church of latter day saints that they broke off over some differences, but i don't know what they were.

  My great uncle was a very active Mason. He told me that it was not just an angry mob that killed Joseph Smith, but an organized hit by the Masons. Smith had been a Mason and was accused of divulging Mason secrets to non Masons. This may be false but my uncle believed it to be true.

  The short answer is that the RLDS looked to Joseph Smith's son as the leader and set up shop in Independence. Mo. while the LDS followed Brigham Young to Utah.

  A world for all of us

  when people are with the jws one of the tactics they use to deter them from leaving is the fear of the world, with typical cunning they over-emphasize its negative things, down play or ignore its positive things, and make sweeping generalisations about its nature.

  in reality the world has everything and you can choose what you want to be or make out of life eg you can be a self denying saint or a sex crazed womaniser and nobody cares.

  that is the golden abundance of the world and it belongs to all and i reconnected with it after leaving the jws with that thought.

  To be considered a "worldy" person is a compliment. To people outside the Watchtower "worldly" means well rounded, knowing and wise.

  i am a vegetarian and have been since having a "bad experience" with meat.

  (i don't care if others eat it, i just don't like it...so no judgements from me.
